Label what’s in your boxes, add what room they’ll be going into as well.
The movers can put your boxes and furniture in the room you want, making it easier for you during the unpacking process. Try to remember to label the sides of the boxes. This way, you’ll be able to identify them even if they’re stacked!
Cover the openings of your toiletries and/or other liquids with saran wrap…
Cover the openings of your toiletries and/or other liquids with saran wrap, then put the tops back on. You can also place them in individual zip-lock bags. This will keep your toiletries from breaking and leaking all over your stuff during the move.
Pack plates vertically, like records.
Pack plates vertically, like records. They’ll be less likely to break. Make sure to place bubble wrap or something equally soft between each one. Label each box containing breakables as FRAGILE! Heaven on Earth Moving Services and most other moving companies are not responsible for boxes packed by customers, so please secure all fragile items, and make sure the boxes are labeled with FRAGILE accordingly so the movers will be aware to take extra care.
Keep your clothes in your dresser.
If you don’t want to spend the time unpacking and repacking your dresser drawers, that’s not a problem! We can’t speak for others, but here at Heaven on Earth Moving Services we will wrap the entire dresser in plastic wrap and move it all in one go! Saves you time with packing/unpacking, and money on having to purchase even more boxes.
Keep sandwich bags handy for holding any small parts…
Keep sandwich bags handy for holding any small parts of things you have to take apart, like curtain rods, bed-frames, or mounted flat-screen TVs. Keeping specific screws, bolts, and other small parts organized and together will help you in the long run with reassembly. However, Heaven on Earth Moving Services does keep all of our own tools handy to help disassemble or reassemble any items for you on moving day!
